<img src="https://api.ecff.org.et/images/e601741d-a038-4880-b414-af27e3aa60f1.jpg"><img src="https://api.ecff.org.et/images/0cf0acc3-bd65-4da3-b4e5-7e47e3c31d16.jpg">One of the projects currently being implemented by the Environment and Coffee Forest Forum (ECFF) is the Horn of Africa Environmental Sustainability and Resilience (HoA-ESR) project, Borana-Marsabit Transboundary Landscape. This project is centered around Borana National Park. The project encompasses various intervention activities, one of which is the development of a 10-Year General Management Plan (GMP) for Borana National Park. Developing a GMP for protected areas is a complex and time-consuming task that requires significant effort and resources. After going through multiple stages of work and consultation, the final draft of the GMP was presented to stakeholders at the Zone level and validated on December 18, 2023. To complete the process, a High-Level Validation Workshop was held on January 18, 2024, in Addis Ababa. This workshop brought together representatives from regional to federal IPs, other relevant institutions and the donor (SIDA) lead implementing partner.
